Many of our customers have found our hub style shelters to be an alternative to traditional camping tents. The Otter hub shelters are primarily designed for ice fishing conditions. All Otter shelter fabrics are water resistant NOT waterproof. This allows the canvas to breathe and reduce condensation when using internal heating sources in cold weather. If you plan to camp outside of the ice season, in an Otter shelter, you may consider applying a waterproof agent to the fabric seams and roof. Another option is to use a tarp over the roof to act as a rain fly.
